Buddhas offer health, wealth, happiness and protection. They are acknowledged for creating serenity, contentment and well being. Daily rubbing of a Buddha's belly is thought to bring good luck and prosperity. Buddhas are particularly useful in the following sectors; Family and Health (E), Mentors and Helpful Friends (NW) and Wealth and Prosperity (SE). Always place your Buddha in a position of honour, never on the floor, and in any part of your home, office or desk excluding bathrooms and toilets.


He is the ultimate symbol of happiness, wealth, kindness and innocent contented joy. Buddha's belly is said to contain bountiful wealth and prosperity. Rubbing his belly is believed to bring good luck and prosperity
The Laughing Buddha must always be invited into his new home, resulting in positive Chi' bringing much happiness.
There are slight variations to his symbolism depending on what he is holding or carrying.

1. He holds an ingot in both hands above his head to symbolise doubling of wealth, riches and honour.
2. He holds an ingot in left hand and a sack full of jewels over his right shoulder to symbolise accumulation of wealth.
3. He holds a fan in his left hand to ward off evil sprits, a sack in his right hand to collect them in and a peach necklace for protection.
4. He holds an ingot in his right hand to symbolise wealth and a sack in his left hand for wealth and prosperity.
5. He holds a raised peach of immortality in his left hand to symbolise fertility and creativity. The ingot in his left hand symbolises wealth and prosperity.
6. He holds an umbrella in his left hand, which provides strength and support during difficult times.
